Dr. Kris was born in Havre, a small town on the great plains of Northern Montana, and he grew up in beautiful Missoula, Montana, which is in the far western side of his home state. As a boy, he was active in many different sports, including football and wrestling, among many others. He was also very active in Boy Scouts, where his love of service to others first took root. Dr. Kris graduated from Sentinel High School, in Missoula, and went on to study business at the University of Montana.
In early 2006, he started playing rugby on a whim for a club team in the city of Missoula, and quickly discovered that he had a natural knack for the game. In 2008, he was recruited by Life University's Men's Rugby Club team to play for them. Dr. Kris accepted Life's offer and moved to Marietta, Georgia in the fall of 2008 to enroll in Life University and to play rugby for one of the top teams in the USA. Dr. Kris was active on the team while earning both his undergraduate and chiropractic degrees. While playing rugby at Life U, the team won 3 consecutive national championships in 2013, 2014, and 2015. Dr. Kris was the team captain during the 2014 and 2015 championship campaigns. In 2012 and 2013, Dr. Kris was also in the USA Rugby national team's player pool, and had the honor and privilege to play in 3 matches for the national team against Canada, Argentina, and Uruguay in the fall of 2012.
In March of 2011, he earned his bachelor's degree from Life, and immediately enrolled in chiropractic school the following quarter. He went on to graduate with his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in June of 2015. It was during his undergraduate years at Life U that Dr. Kris became interested in chiropractic. If you have ever watched a game of rugby, you can see that it is a tough sport that can be very hard on your body. Early in his rugby career at Life, Dr. Kris developed shoulder problems that were related to a very old high school sports injury. One of the team's chiropractors checked him, and found subluxations in his neck, upper back, and shoulder. After 1 powerful adjustment, his body was brought back into alignment and the shoulder problem was resolved, and has not been an issue since. At that moment, Dr. Kris became an advocate of chiropractic, and then through his experiences of the effect that being regularly adjusted had on his performance on the field and in everyday life, he decided that it was his mission to help as many other people as possible to perform at their best in any arena through the power of chiropractic!
While at Life U, Dr. Kris met the love of his life, Dr. Shannon Good. They were first introduced in late 2008, and immediately became very good friends. In 2013 they started dating, and then on March 29, 2015, the now best friends tied the knot at the Brickyard in Marietta, the community they love and now call home.
